Rugged and Reliable Fiber Optic Sensing Cable for Harsh Environments

Samm Teknoloji’s FOTAS sensing cable is a high-performance fiber optic sensor cable compatible with both Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) and Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) systems. Specifically engineered for long-distance, real-time monitoring under harsh environmental conditions, it features a corrugated steel armor, gel-filled central tube, and dual UV-resistant PE jackets. Its direct burial capability allows easy integration into infrastructure without the need for additional mechanical protection.

The FOTAS sensing cable provides long-term durability with excellent resistance to water, chemicals, rodents, and mechanical impacts. The dry core structure, reinforced with swellable glass yarns, ensures strong longitudinal and transversal water-blocking performance. When integrated with DAS and DTS systems, it enables highly accurate detection in applications such as pipeline monitoring, leak detection, perimeter security, and industrial process control. Operating reliably in temperatures from -40°C to +80°C, it is also fully compliant with RoHS and CPR standards.
