Protecting One of Mauritania's Largest Gold Operations

The Mauritania Kinross Gold Mine is one of the country's most important gold production facilities. The FOTAS Fiber Optic Sensing System was commissioned to protect high-value assets and critical operational areas, and to strengthen the perimeter security of the site.

Within the scope of the project, the perimeter of the mine site, approximately 9 km in length, is monitored using fiber optic sensing technology.

Vibration Analysis Along a 9 km Fence Line

The system analyzes the vibrations occurring along the perimeter fence and detects the following events in real time, generating instant alarms for the security teams.
