Securing Antalya's Jet-Fuel Lifeline
The Antalya Airport Pipeline was built between the sea port and Antalya Airport to handle jet-fuel logistics and ease inner-city traffic. Roughly 40 kilometers long, the system is designed to remove around 60,000 fuel tankers per year from Antalya's road traffic.
Within the project, a buried intrusion detection application was implemented along the pipeline. Fiber optic sensing cable was laid the full length of the route to detect threats such as excavation work, unauthorized approach and sabotage attempts against the pipeline in real time.
